The petite earthbender drank heavily from her bottle of fire whiskey. In her other hand was a newspaper with a photo of her father next to her sister, Xiang. A proud and fatherly look was in his eyes as he celebrated his eldest daughter’s promotion to head detective. Chikko scoffs and crunches the newpaper in her hands before tossing it aside. She always hated how her father had readily abandoned her. He never even tried looking for her. Not once. Just thinking about it made her bitter and spiteful. “That bastard…” She slurs, slowly letting herself slide down the wall to sit on the pavement in the abandoned alley. It was cold, but the warmth of the whiskey was warming her enough as she took another swig, the bottle now empty in her hand. Wiping her mouth, she smashes the bottle against the floor and frowns deeply.
Semira was idle, lying in the subconscious of a rich man with the name Wei Yu. This wasn’t the first time she had been in or around the man, as he was a mind that she enjoyed to screw with. Despite his money and success, the man was an alcoholic who had a tendency of getting violent when intoxicated.
The spirit had been inside his mind since the night before, not making herself known to him until he began his drive home from the liquor store. Within an instant she took control of the man, killing off his access to his five senses and bodily functions.
Semira changed directions quickly, making a dramatic u-turn and heading to the poor part of the city where she expected to find the man’s daughter, Bao.
She searched block by block until finding a young girl who looked very similar to Bao, it had to be her. She made a sharp brake and stepped out of the car, slamming the door shot and approaching the young girl. For a second she just stared at her, looking into her eyes before finally speaking. “Do you think i’m dumb, Bao?” A deep voice escaped his mouth.
Hearing a satomobile pull up close by, she pulls no mind to it, even as the footsteps that came from it grew louder. The earthbender keeps her head low, her mismatched eyes staring intently at the jade bangles around her wrists. They were the only things she had left of her mother.
“Hm?” Chikko hears a voice. Someone had called her stupid and she didn’t take kindly to it. Especially since whoever said it used her real name. “Who the fuck do you think you…” She snaps her head up to glare at the stranger but her expression quickly falls into one of sheer horror. “….are..?”
Immediately the earthbender scrambles back and gets into a defensive stance. “You..!” She snarls. “How dare you show your face to me!?”

 | The hard impact sent Chikko stumbling back and falling into a puddle. Her glasses fall off and she curses. The night couldn’t have gotten any worse. Working at the strip club was awful and everyone decided to be more hands on than usual and when she finally got off and bought some food, some thugs knocked it out of her hands after just one bite. “Hey! Watch it will you!?” Chikko snaps, letting out a groan of irritation as she felt around the ground for her glasses. |

Those were happier times in her life, though her father had not been dreadful to her until the whole Equalist fiasco where he basically tried to kill her. "Hmm, that's strange because you seem familiar. I'm sorry if I'm mistaken. I guess you just remind me of someone." Though a nagging feeling told her she wasn't wrong at all. | ||
 | “It’s n-no problem at all. My n-name is Chikko. A pleasure.” Chikko bows politely to the socially superior woman with a smile. Using her alias shouldn’t give away who she was since she had only taken that name on after running away from her former life. “R-Really? Who is th-this person? What are they l-like?” She asks, feeling a little curious as to exactly how much Asami remembered about her. |

“Yes..my mother was born here..but I wasn’t…” She answers, glancing at the settlement as if it were her long lost home. “She was found by my father and he took her in…”
The earthbender steps toward the settlement. Some of the residents smile at them as they pass and wave. “No..the triads wouldn’t come through here. It’s not like them to bulldoze through things because they don’t want to draw attention to themselves…”
Chikko finds a child playing with an old worn ball. She greets them from afar before stepping closer. “Hello little one…can I ask you something…?” The child smiles at her and nods.
“How did you find out your mother was born down here but you weren’t? And you mentioned your father found you?” He glanced at her direction at this place, knowing it must mean something to her. Not everyone is fortunate to find a place you can call home, despite it being underground.
He followed her as they passed by some of the residents. They looked friendly and he waved and smiled back as they cordially addressed them. Mako heard Chikko state that the Triads wouldn’t dare being exposed coming this direction. He breathed a sigh of relief. “Thats good to know, but maybe someone down there has spotted them especially they do use these tunnels right?”
Mako watches as Chikko approached a child carefully, wanting to ask some questions. The child seemed fond of her and open to help.
“Did you see some shady looking guys around here somewhere?” Chikko kneels down to the child’s level, speaking much more clearly and showing herself to be much more relaxed. The earthbender offers a gentle smile and the child thinks for a moment. “Yeah, I saw some around here. They looked really scary but momma said to stay away from them. I think they want down the west tunnel.”
The young boy points to an entranceway all the way in the corner of the large area and across one of the flowing pipelines. Chikko then turns her head to follow where the boy pointed. “Okay…” She says before patting the boy’s head. “Thank you.”
She lifts her head and stands to her full height, turning to Mako.
